It’s the Final Countdown! (Lock Down 01)

What I have comprised below is a sure-fire (if not) way to a one-sided match where you are controlling the shots. With life absorbing machine active you gain half of the life points you paid from a previous turn. Imperial Customs protects all Continuous Trap cards excluding itself. Activate Final Countdown and don’t worry, you will regain 1000 LP in your next turn from this payment of 2000 LP. With Tour of Doom you can either prevent yourself or your opponent from flip summoning or normal summoning by the dictation of a flip of a coin. You want the ‘heads’ result, and that prevents your opponent from normal summoning and flip summoning. Second Coin Toss allows for you to re-do a coin toss, negating the prior toss. Royal Oppression disallows your opponent from special summoning at the cost of 800 LP each time they special summon. You gain 400 LP back on your next turn from Life Absorbing Machine.  Light of intervention disables their ability and yours to set monsters on the field. With tour and Intervention alone the only thing that your opponent can do is special summon, but the answer to that is Royal Oppression.

The desired combo though is: Imperial Custom, Tour of Doom, Light of Intervention, Royal Oppression and Second Coin Toss. Of course be sure though to activate Final Countdown first, and if you want to activate the Life Absorbing Machine to gain back half of the paid LP from Final Countdown you will have to get rid of it to make room for the other cards. I suggest double cyclone to get rid of it. With the normal spell card double cyclone you can destroy one spell/trap card on your side and destroy one spell/trap card on your opponent’s side.

I hope this helps!

Nordic Deck

This deck’s primary focus is built towards synchro summoning, but I found another focus and that is utilizing the field spell card, The Nordic Lights.

The field spell card, The Nordic Lights combines with Tyr of the Nordic Champions and Garmr of the Nordic Beasts. With Tyr your opponent cannot select another Nordic monster for an attack except for himself, and when combined with The Nordic Lights, he cannot be destroyed by battle as is the effect of The Nordic Lights.

With Garmr you can attack with him and risk the battle damage from the opponent’s monster considering his low attack points to utilize his effect of bouncing that monster back into the opponent’s hand. The Nordic Lights protects Garmr from being destroyed by that battle.

D.D./Different Dimension Deck

This is another pretty old deck. This deck runs off of banishing/removing cards from play.

Combo – Play the continuous spell card Different Dimension Gate and with its effect remove a monster you control from play to remove a monster your opponent controls from play. You removed D.D. Survivor and with Survivor’s effect, during the end phase of the turn he was banished/removed from play he comes back special summoned.

Genex Deck

The Genex deck is built around the synchro cards that come with it and the cards that support the synchro summons. Cards to use are the obvious Genex Controller – Tuner monster and Genex Ally Remote. To give the synchro monsters such as Genex Ally Triforce, Windmill Genex, Genex Ally Triarm, Hydro Genex, Thermal Genex and Geo Genex the card Genex Ally Changer will give them their attribute effects.

Fire Fist Deck

This deck is pretty fast on the power-ups that supplies its monsters. The power-up cards are called the Fire Formation cards. The trap cards boost the monsters by 300 points and the spell cards boost the monsters by 100 points. A good card to include in this deck would be the field spell card Molten Destruction, and that boosts Fire monsters for 500 attack points. I don’t have any sub-strategies for this deck. This deck is pretty cut-and-dry on what it does, in that it is a power beat-down deck.

Blackwing Deck

This deck will guarantee a fun time, and I mean fun in the game sense of “fun time” nothing more.

Spell and trap card combo – Activate your face-down normal trap card Windstorm of Etaqua. to switch all face-up monsters your opponent controls to defense position. Play the normal spell card Black – Winged Strafe and send 1 “Blackwing” monster from your hand to the graveyard to destroy 1 defense position your opponent controls.

Now let’s get on to the strategies that come with this deck:

Strategy # 1 – Play the continuous spell card Black Whirlwind. Normal Summon Blackwing – Bora the Spear and with the effect of Black Whirlwind add 1 Blackwing monster that has a lower ATK of the normal summoned monster to your hand. You added Blackwing – Gladius the Midnight Sun, and with its first effect special summon it in face-up defense position. On your next turn and hopefully Gladius is still on the field due to its survival effect, you can normal summon without tributing Blackwing – Elphin the Raven. Elphin has an ATK of 2200 and its effect switches 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up defense position.

Strategy # 2 – Activate the face-down Windstorm of Etaqua and switch your opponent’s face-up monsters to defense position. Now hopefully your opponent’s monsters have a lower defense than your already on the field monster, Blackwing Shura the Blue Flame. Successfully destroy with Shura a monster your opponent controls, and then with its attack effect special summon a monster with 1500 or less ATK from your deck. you chose Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind. Tune Gale and Shura together to synchro summon the 2500 ATK point monster, Blackwing Armor Master.

The Fabled Deck

This deck is a little similar to the Dark World deck, except it does not completely rely on discard effects. It relies on both sending effects and discard effects.

Strategy – To special summon The Fabled Nozochee discard 1 “Fabled” monster from your hand. You discarded The Fabled Catsith and with Catsith’s effect when it was discarded you can destroy 1 monster on your opponent’s side of the field. With Nozoochee’s last effect when it was special summoned you can special summon 1 level 2 or lower “Fabled” monster from your hand. You special summoned the level 2 tuner monster, Fabled Oltro. Tune Oltro and Nozoochee together to synchro summon The Fabled Kudabi. Now if you have any spell and/or trap cards in your hand place them face-down  in your spell/trap card zone. If you have any monsters to normal summon, normal summon them. You want to have no cards in your hand to play its card less effect. For Kudabi’s card less effect you have to obviously have 0 cards in your hand so that it has the effect of: This card cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects.

Note – Most of the strategies consist of synchro summoning and the deck has many powerful synchro monsters to bring out.

Note – There are not very many spell/trap Fabled based support cards for the deck so finding the right support cards can be difficult. The cards I would use are:

  •  Luminous Spark
  • Shadow Spell
  • Swords of Burning Light
  • Creature Swap
  • Mirror Force
  • Dark Hole

Warrior Deck Combos

Combo # 1 – Normal summon Goblin Attack Force and activate the effect of your face up trap card Ultimate Offering and with it pay 500 LP (life points) to do another normal summon and normal summon another Goblin Attack Force, equip both of them with Gravity Axe – Grarl and boost their attacks by 500 placing them at 2800. Play the continuous spell card Double Defender. Attack with both Goblin Attack Forces, and with their effect they are switched to defense and remain in defense until the end of your next turn. With Double Defender, if your opponent attacks one Goblin Attack Force (as both are in defense position) you can negate the attack once per turn because you have 2 face up defense position monsters.

Combo # 2 – Normal summon Marauding Captain, and with his effect when he is normal summoned you can special summon a level 4 or lower warrior monster from your hand. You special summon Exiled Forces. Equip the captain with Wicked-Breaking Flamberge – Baou, and boost his attack by 500 and equip him Gravity Axe – Grarl, boosting his attack by, yet again another 500, placing him at 2200 ATK. Tribute Exiled Forces to destroy 1 monster on your opponent’s side of the field. Play the equip spell card Premature Burial and special summon Exiled Forces again by paying 800 LP. Tribute Exiled Forces again and destroy another monster on your opponent’s side of the field. The field should be cleared for a direct attack by Marauding Captain.
